Ghost Town Blues Band 6:30pm

Horns, harmonies and homegrown instruments combined with an energetic and roots rich festival set makes Ghost Town Blues Band one of the “must see live bands on the festival scene today.” Both Andrew McNeill behind the drums and Matt Karner on the bass guitar are a punishing rhythm section behind multi-instrumentalist/frontman Matt Isbell with raunchy cigar box guitar licks and raspy "Dr. John-like, whiskey and gravel-soaked vocals." With the addition of Trombonist Suavo Jones, Cedric Taylor on B3 and Taylor Orr on lead guitar, the grooves go from fresh to funky as the band gains more notoriety in the blues festival and jam circuit. Ghost Town Blues Band has performed all across US and Canada at over 100+ festivals and will perform more than a half-dozen international tours in Canada and Europe in 2019.

Jax Hollow 4:30pm

Jax Hollow is an untamable force of nature. Hailing from Nashville by

way of Western Massachusetts, The Berklee College Of Music graduate is

bringing a much needed revival to rock with her fresh innocence and serious

talent. Jax’s sound is a unique blend of Classic Rock, Blues, and Americana,

combined with songwriting, riffs, ripping solos, and powerful vocals. Her

debut record, "Underdog Anthems" was produced and engineered by music

legend Michael Wagener (over 100 million records sold). She was the last artist

to work with him before his retirement in 2022. Her new record of 2023, “Only

The Wild Ones”, was championed by Sound Emporium CEO, Juanita

Copeland, and recorded with some of Nashville’s finest studio musicians. Jax

Hollow has a full page feature in Guitar World Magazine August 2023 edition,

as well as an album review in Rolling Stone France.

Don Bryant Saturday, May 25th - 5:30pm

You know that old song that O. V. Wright did so well in 1971 that no one can ever do that song again — “Nickel and a Nail”? O. V. Wright has held tight to that song, and rightfully so. But not no mo. Not to take anything from O.V.— but after nearly half a century, now you gotta step aside. Don Bryant is here.

Though it ain’t like he just showed up. The roots of this record are in the Memphis church, where Don Bryant began singing when he was 5. He joined his father’s family vocal group, then formed a gospel quartet for a high school radio gig. Broadcasting broadened the audience and they went secular, singing pop at WLOK on Dick “Cane” Cole’s popular show. After parting with the DJ, they took a very real step toward careers when, as the Four Kings, they began fronting Willie Mitchell’s band.

Bette Smith Saturday, May 25th - 3:30pm

Critically acclaimed rock & soul singer Bette Smith traces elements of her life-affirming new album “The Good, The Bad & The Bette” to her childhood in Brooklyn, NY. Musically, it connects to the gospel music she heard in church and the soul music on the corners. This injection of soul and gospel into rock & roll powered a breakout in 2017’s “Jetlagger,” which received raves from NPR, American Songwriter, Billboard, MOJO, and a feature in the New York Times. Now, “The Good, The Bad & The Bette” on Ruf Records is garnering equal praise with “All Things Considered” calling it “A stompin’ good time!” and landing on legendary critic Jim DeRogatis’ (“Sound Opinions”) “Best Albums of 2020” list. In 2021, Living Blues and Blues Blast magazines, respectively, nominated Bette and her album “Blues Artist of the Year (Female)” and best “Soul Blues Album.” The past couple years, Bette toured with the Drive-By Truckers and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and performed at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Calgary Folk Music Festival and Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. In 2023, Bette will return to Europe with performances in Scandinavia, the Netherlands and Spain.

Booker T. Jones 4:30pm

Booker T. Jones is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, GRAMMY

Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and arguably the most famous

Hammond B3 player in history. As leader of the legendary Booker T

and the MGs, this pillar of soul music collaborated with Otis Redding,

Albert King, and more during his tenure at Stax Records. Since then,

Booker has lent his trademark keyboard chops to and produced classic

albums such as Willie Nelson's multi-platinum hit “Stardust” and Bill

Withers’ “Just As I Am” featuring the hit song “Ain’t No Sunshine".

Both Booker's 2009 solo release "Potato Hole" and his 2011 solo release

"The Road From Memphis" won GRAMMY Awards for Best Pop

Instrumental Album. In 2013 Booker released “Sound The Alarm”,

marking a return to Stax Records after 40 years.

Dirty Red & the Soul Shakers 2:30pm

Dirty Red & The Soul Shakers are a modern day powerhouse blues band, built on old -school influences, and a mutual love for the down and dirty style blues that has come to define the bands original sound. A dangerously tight rhythm section backs a funky shake your money maker groove guaranteed, to get the ladies dancing and the good times flowing. Add a lone weeping guitar, blues harmonica and soul filled vocals and everybody’s in trouble.

In January 2018, Dirty Red & The SoulShakers represented Oklahoma at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. They made it into the semi-finals.

Tyron Benoit 12:30pm

"Growing up around the house, I remember hearing a lot of classic country: George Jones, Hank Williams (Sr. and Jr.), Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and Ernest Tubb. Going to my grandpa's house is where the Cajun and Folk influences came from. He was a fantastic fiddle and harmonica player. But when we left the house, it was Led Zeppelin, Toto, and Steely Dan. Everybody was into classic rock, and it was good!"
